This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 734712.

This year, we offered a course on Forecasting with DSGE Models, aimed at academic and applied researchers, PhD students as well as advanced Master students. The objective of the course was to teach participants how to:

  • Estimate DSGE models: classical and Bayesian estimation
  • Forecast with DSGE models: mean, median, density forecast
  • Evaluate the accuracy of forecasts: ex-post forecasting competitions

The course was held online over three days from 10-12 June 2020.

We were pleased to host as the course instructor Michał Rubaszek, Associate Professor and the Head of the Financial Markets Modelling Unit at Warsaw School of Economics. He has long-term experience in central banking (National Bank of Poland as well as European Central Bank) and has authored numerous publications on forecasting with DSGE models.
