Department of Economics and Finance

The Department of Economics and Finance was founded in 1992, its current name was adopted in 2016. The main keywords that describe us are quantitative economic analysis and finance; modern conceptual foundations to understand the functioning of economic systems, high-quality evidence-based research (TalTech is the only university in Estonia that is included in the QS Economics & Econometrics ranking list (#351-400 in the world)) on economic, financial and policy impacts and processes, interdisciplinarity, international cooperation, strong emphasis on the applied aspects of the subject area and research-based teaching and learning.
